A middle-aged man simply identified as Fatai, an employee of the Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area, Lagos, died on Wednesday after falling from a moving elevator on the eighth floor of the 12-storey building West African Examinations Council (waec) building.
Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Mr Joseph Jaiyeoba, who confirmed the incident, said that the crushed body of the deceased has been recovered from the building.
The victim, Fatai was said to have stepped out of the lift when the doors opened midway on the eighth floor.
He was said to have assumed that the elevator had reached its final destination, and he stepped into the thin air and fell from the eight-floor.

WAEC authority is cupable of the death of Fatai. They were negligent in using outdated, unserviceable and expired elevator that eventually caused the man’s death. If Fatai is a minister of education on tour, same faith would have happened to him.The authority would have coughed out damages.Same should come to pass.
