Fuel Subsidy Protest Abuja: Pilgrims stranded in Abuja airport

Fuel Subsidy in NigeriaFuel Subsidy Protest halted the activities of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airports, Abuja.

It was also reported that some Christian pilgrims from Kwara State were stranded at the airport, hoping that they might be able to be airlifted in the night.

Though the pilgrims travelled through Sunday night from Kwara State to be able to beat any road barricade that could arise from the fuel subsidy demonstrations but the fuel subsidy removal protest did beat them.

He said, “They have assured us that we are going to able to fly. We are hopeful that we will still be able to fly in the night. It is a scheduled flight and it is in the night. Besides, we are praying that the protests should not last more than 24 hours”
