Boko Haram News: Two bodies of suspected Boko Haram bombers was piled up after engaging the JTF on Saturday.
Two troopers were conjointly seriously injured within the combat where 5 Armoured Personnel Carriers were deployed.
This happened at the Boko Haram hideout in Sabuwa Gandu section One, Kano State.
The JTF later paraded arrested relatives of the sect members.
Speaking with newsmen, the Brigade Commander, three Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier-General Ilyasu Abbah, said his men rescued 5 wives and thirteen kids of the sect members.
He said the hoodlums in an endeavor to kill the troopers detonated a Honda Civic vehicle laden with Improvised Explosive Devices that incidentally killed 2 of them and injured 2 troopers.
Gen. Abbah Brigade commander who heads the Joint Security Task Force said another disaster would have occurred in Kano if his team had not been swift by using proactive means.
“These individuals are designing for one more major operation to wreak havoc as they did the last time. However Allah didn’t sleep.
“The JTF had mounted a through surveillance on these individuals through the knowledge of patriotic individuals.
According to him, this ostensibly led to the suspects detonating the bomb hoping to kill the troopers who came to arrest them.
